National Sculpture Society’s
Affliated Artist’s residency
at chesterwood

Established in 2021, Chesterwood hosts a member of the National Sculpture Society for one month each year. Selected by a committee of fellow NSS sculptors, the NSS Affiliated Artist lives in a cottage in the woods on the Chesterwood estate that was once Daniel Chester French’s “second studio”, and works in a large studio created from a 1909 garage, with a high ceiling, ample light, industrial sink and air conditioning. The artist holds Open Studio days and concludes the residency with an artist’s talk. A generous stipend is provided.
Applications are open to all NSS members at https://nationalsculpture.org/residencies/
