This tour takes a deeper look at Daniel Chester French and his early training in Italy, including his gentlemanly pursuits of romance, his tutelage under Thomas Ball, and his artworks produced in Florence. How did Italian classical, Renaissance, and even Baroque art continue to infiltrate his sculptural style?
