Specialty Tour: Fall Woodland Trail Walk

Daniel Chester French, often with friend and ornithologist Will Brewster or daughter Margaret, walked the Woodland Trail at Chesterwood to note the birds and blooms in spring, summer, and fall. All three loved spending time outdoors. Participants of this special tour will leisurely walk under a mile to explore the unique features of the Woodland Trail and gardens, identify some of the sights and sounds, and discover just how special the landscape is at Chesterwood. There is some uneven ground but the program is suitable for most, including families.
