Join us in the Studio at Chesterwood for a lively conversation between author Simon Winchester and former publisher André Bernard, who was the longtime vice president and publisher at Harcourt Trade Publishers and is now vice president and secretary of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.
Simon Winchester has been continuously on the NYT best-seller list since the "Professor and the Madmen" was published in 1998. Most recently his work has explored the "Land" - how we acquire land; how we steward it, how and why we fight over it and, finally, how we can, and on occasion do, come to share it. For this special event, Simon will share with us the evolution of his most recent work-in-progress that considers the story of "Knowledge".
A prosecco reception to meet the author will follow on the Studio piazza.
