This exhibition aims to give the viewer a sense of Daniel Chester French’s Chesterwood Studio by looking at a variety of his works up close. Included are initial plaster sketches (maquettes), working models, and finished works such as French’s best-known sculpture, the seated figure of Abraham Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial. Each photo is accompanied by a detail and a photo of the items location in the studio. You’ll never look at the Studio the same way again!
