Chesterwood Archives
If you are inquiring about photographic rights or are a scholar seeking permission to access the Chesterwood Archives, please contact the Chapin Library at Williams College at chapin.library@williams.edu or call (413) 597-2462.
As of May 2010, Chesterwood, a National Trust Historic Site, has transferred its archival collections to the Chapin Library at Williams College for preservation, digitization and access by faculty, students and scholars worldwide.
At the Chapin Library, the Chesterwood Archives will be more widely available to the public, including through electronic access. The Chapin Library in Williamstown, Massachusetts, is in close proximity to Chesterwood, has a growing collection of archives and works by American artists, and serves a faculty willing and able to use the collections for research, teaching and exhibitions, furthering scholarship on Daniel Chester French and his circle.
