Sohn Fine Art Gallery is currently accepting submissions for 2013′s 2nd Annual Community Arts Exhibition to benefit Chesterwood
The exhibition will be on view at Sohn Fine Art Gallery March 22 – April 22, 2013, with a reception Saturday, April 20, from 4:00 – 7:00, where the winners will be announced.
The competition will be anonymously judged by Donna Hassler (Executive Director of Chesterwood), Kathryn Price (Curator of Special Projects at Williams College Museum of Art) and Cassandra Sohn (Photographer and Owner of Sohn Fine Art Gallery).
Prizes will be awarded as follows: 1st place winner will receive free attendance to Cassandra Sohn’s photography workshop at Chesterwood, “Portraits, Landscapes and Place”. This class is scheduled to run August 26, 27 & 28. All students who participate in this workshop will have their work exhibited at Chesterwood immediately following the course, with an opening reception August 31. The exhibition will run until October 31.
People’s Choice Award Winner will receive one 16” x 20” archival giclee print of their own work, produced by Sohn Fine Art on a substrate of their choice.
2nd and 3rd place will receive honorable mention.
Applications are due Friday, February 15.
