[ February 2, 2013 to February 15, 2013. ] Sohn Fine Art Gallery is currently accepting submissions for 2013′s 2nd Annual Community Arts Exhibition to benefit Chesterwood. Applications are due Friday, February 15.

October 2, 2012; 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. ] Master figurative sculptor, Marc Mellon, has been invited to work in Daniel Chester French’s Studio at Chesterwood. Demonstrations: Friday, September 28 through Tuesday, October 2, 11 am – 4 pm. Free with regular admission.

The Cultural Facilities Fund awarded Chesterwood Museum and Estate $250,000 to undertake a comprehensive restoration of the interior, exterior, and structural supports of Daniel Chester French’s Studio.
[ September 30, 2011; 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. ] September 30: A Conversation with Chesterwood’s Sculptors-in-Residence Kate Kaman and Joel Erland, Moderated by Sculptor Judith Shea at 5:30 p.m. on the Studio Piazza at Chesterwood. Chesterwood has recently been awarded an American Heritage Preservation Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) in the amount of $3,000 for the stabilization and repair of “Victory”.
